Page 1 of 3 Frequently Asked Questions: (FAQ's) Q: What styles of cabinetry do you offer? A: We have, in the past, designed and built cabinetry that is not in keeping with the Arts and Crafts style. The majority of our current work falls within the Arts and Crafts style. We aim to concentrate solely on Arts and Crafts designs, both traditional and our own interpretations of the style. Q: What woods can I choose for my cabinets? A: Most Original Arts and Crafts cabinets were built from quarter sawn white oak, mahogany, or Douglas fir. Today many species of wood are used for the style such as cherry, Eastern hard maple and black walnut. Any species can be used as long as it is available. We do not use knotty pine since it so soft and easily dented. Q: Do you offer different grades of cabinets. A: In a word “NO”. We build premium cabinet boxes and the materials used are the best available. There are options in some components (drawers, drawer slides, pullouts, and door styles) but we do not compromise on quality of construction.
Q: How much should I budget for a kitchen built by Arts and Crafts Kitchens? A: Typically our kitchens range from $10,000 for a small simple kitchen to upwards of $50,000 for a very large kitchen with all the bells and whistles. The main factors that determine the cost are the size of your kitchen, accessories, quantity of drawers, and the species of wood used.
Q: Do you build more than just kitchens? A: Yes, we build furniture, bathroom vanities, entertainment centers, custom doors to match our cabinetry, and any other woodwork you may need to complete your project.
